The Fellow spends 10 months full-time in residence at the Council for Foreign Relations’ headquarters in New York. They must have distinguished credentials in journalism two of the selection criteria are, professional experience as a foreign correspondent or editor, and firm grounding in foreign policy. The writer is expected to serve as mentor for a week-long retreat for writers at the educational center. The residency includes lodging at a loft apartment in Piggott, Arkansas.
